Keough Performed With the Oakland Athletics for 7 Years & Was an All-Star in His Rookie 12 months
Keough spent seven years as a participant for the Athletics, from 1977 to 1983. Throughout his rookie season in 1978, he was named an American League All-Star. In 1980, Keough earned the American League Comeback Participant of the 12 months.

On Saturday evening, Shane Keough, Matt Keough’s son and former minor league baseball participant, posted a tribute to his father on Instagram.
He wrote:
My favourite place was all the time in your shoulders. It makes me smile figuring out McCoy will probably be there with you; proper there in your shoulders. It wasn’t all the time good however I wouldn’t change it for the world. You taught me greater than you’ll ever know and I hope that I make you proud. Sit back and benefit from the everlasting sunshine. Until I see you once more – I really like dad.
