Breonna Taylor was a 26-year-old emergency medical technician (EMT) who was shot and killed by Louisville Metro Police on March 13 shortly after they served a no-knock warrant at her condo at 12:43 a.m. the place she and her boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, have been sleeping.
Walker, who shot at what his lawyer stated he believed to be intruders, has been charged with the tried homicide of a police officer after he struck Mattingly’s femoral artery.
Listed here are the three narcotics detectives concerned within the incident, in keeping with an archive of police shootings for the 12 months 2020:
- Jonathan Mattingly, a 47-year-old sergeant with 19 years on the pressure
- Brett Hankison, a 44-year-old detective with 17 years on the pressure
- Myles Cosgrove, a 42-year-old detective with 14 years on the pressure
The three belong to the Third Division, of which Micah Scheu is the division commander, and are a part of the division’s Legal Interdiction Division. Heavy.com has reached out to the commander for touch upon the case and this story will probably be up to date if a response is acquired.
